US History: Quote "paper" due Monday
In his farewell address (1796),
George Washington said the following about political parties:
“It
serves always to distract the public councils & enfeeble the public
administration. It agitates the
community with ill-founded jealousies & false alarms; kindles the animosity
of one part against another; foments [incites] occasionally riot &
insurrection. It opens the door to
foreign influence & corruption.”
Write your reaction to Washington’s thoughts on political parties. Your response should be at least a full
page long but no more than the single
sheet of paper in front of you.
Use a regular HW heading on your paper, use "Washington Quote" as your assignment title, and do NOT re-write the question or the quote.
US History: "Due Monday Homework Slide"
HW
due Monday is (1) Ch 6 Sec 4 Handout; (2) Create a
list of the accomplishments & , achievements, & policies of Washington’s administration using only the
handout provided; (3) study for Tuesday’s test (that’s your new test date!!), (4) Regents Connections Questions, &; (5)
paper based on quote – see separate blog post for quote!

US History: Another assignment due tomorrow!
Go to the calendar in Engrade, go to today's date, and follow the instructions given for the Judiciary Act of 1789.
We will not spend a lot of time on this in class since you should have it already written down before you get there! It is a Word document, not a Power point.
It is now fair game for a HW Quiz...

For those of you having issues with Power Point, here are some free downloads to look into. Some may be free, some may have only a free trial period. I found them doing a simply Google search - you should do the same if you are in this situation.
