I hope you're well!

Hi Students & Parents ~

I hope you & your loved ones made it safely through the storm without any major damage.

Some updates as we head into an unprecedented 6th day of school being closed:
- All HW that was/is due through Monday is due the first day back.  This is true of ALL work due through however many days we remain closed.
- All quizzes & tests are POSTPONED.  Vocab quizzes would not normally be postponed under these conditions, but since I asked for the copies to be done during last week there's no way we'll have them back on the first we resume classes.
- Any extra credit due 11/1 will be accepted on the first day back.  It will not be accepted after that.
- You current HW will count for the current marking period (1st), so make sure you get it done.  We would usually be entering report card grades starting tomorrow, but that's obviously something we aren't dealing with at this time.
- Regardless of the subject, all students should be watching election news and shows relating to it.  The majority of you will be old enough to vote in the next Presidential Election, so you should get used to seeing through the usual "campaign nonsense" and discovering facts & what's important to you as you enter adulthood.  Everyone around you is an influence, but only you can & should be making your decision - and it should always be based on facts.  No time like a week away from school to dive into it and do some reading, watching, & listening to practice that skill!

Stay safe!  See you when we get back, and I hope your power stays on!  (Mine has gone off twice since it was restored this weekend.)

~ Mrs. Ramo

PARENTS: If you made an appointment for Tuesday & are unable to keep it, please try to leave a message for me releasing that time slot to another parent early Tuesday morning (or send an email to dramo@bufsd.org.)  This is assuming you are able to contact the school, we have school, &/or the district follows the lead of others and holds classes instead of conferences Tuesday.
